New this year is the addition of the Chaparral MusicFest Suzuki Academy.

Violin Closeup
This small and intimate three day session is designed to fill a need within the Arizona region for a Suzuki style camp that will further enrich and inspire our students.

Core Classes:
  • Individual Lessons in master class setting
    Repertoire and group classes
    Musicianship & Theory

Enrichment Classes:
  • Student Piano & Violin duets
    Composition
    Drumming
    Student Recitals

Violin Piano Duet
The Academy is open to Book 1 and 2 students of ages 6 through 12. Piano students who have polished the repertoire at least through Book 1’s Mary Had a Little Lamb and violin students who have polished the pieces at least through Book 1’s Perpetual Motion are invited to join us.

Registered Suzuki teachers Laura Tagawa and Henry Flurry lead this Academy with assistance from Suzuki violin teacher Sarah deLaveaga and further support in the enrichment classes by Maria Flurry.

Schedule

All sessions and performances are held at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 630 Park Avenue, in Prescott, AZ.

Academy Classes:
Wednesday, June 9 through Friday, June 11
9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Wednesday through Friday
CHECKIN TIME is at 8:30 a.m. each day

Student Recital:
Friday, June 11
2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Parents, friends, and community members are invited to attend the 2 p.m. concert.

Fees

Course Fee: $150
If Prescott Mailing Address, Acker Trust Fund Scholarship Applies: subtract $40
Limited number of need-based scholarships are available.

All late fees have been cancelled.
