Barbara McClymonds
Faculty at the Suzuki Academy


Violinist Barbara McClymonds has been teaching an active Suzuki violin program in Prescott AZ since the fall of 1987. Recently she has she has taken on a few viola and cellos students, and she maintains a studio of over 20 students ranging in age from 4 to moms. Her students, known collectively as the Suzuki Magic Bows, perform regularly in the Prescott area.

Barbara has a B.S. in Music Education from Potsdam N.Y. and a Masters in Humanities from Hofstra on Long Island. She began playing the violin when her daughter began lessons in Helena MT and began her Suzuki teacher training during the next summer when she took her daughter to their first Suzuki Institute.

According to a friend of hers, Barbara loves her Suzuki program so much because she needs other children to play with.
