James DeMars (www.jamesdemars.net) belongs to a generation of composers that has rediscovered the range, depth and stylistic variety of tonal writing. He has conducted his works with the Phoenix Symphony, the Orchestre de Paris, and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, whose performance at the Kennedy Center was nationally broadcast on PBS. The Minnesota Orchestra, California Symphony, Chicago Sinfonietta, Anchorage Symphony, Tucson Symphony, New York Choral Society, and Choeriet Orchestre Français D'Oratorio have all performed his works. The NEA, the Heard Museum, Flynn Foundation, Art Renaissance Foundation, European-American Foundation, and others have commissioned from him, leading to multiple works in publication and a discography of over 20 CDs.
